gPROMS — Process Modelling for R&D
gPROMS (developed by PSE, now part of Siemens) is an advanced equation-based process modelling platform widely used in R&D and process development. Unlike traditional simulators, gPROMS uses first-principles modelling — building mathematical representations of physical and chemical phenomena — enabling highly accurate prediction of process behaviour across a wide range of conditions.
In R&D environments, gPROMS dramatically reduces the number of physical trials required, supports equipment sizing and scale-up decisions, and feeds directly into technology transfer and process validation programmes.
